My Life in Books tag!

I was tagged by  Belle Infini  and BOOKS AND OTHER MIRACLES to do this tag, so thank you! 😀

1. Find a book for each of your initials.

Well, my initials are AJW, so here we go…

ACOTARjane eyreWinter

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas/ Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte/ Winter by Marissa Meyer. I don’t actually own Winter yet, but all the other options had boring covers and I think I’ll be getting it at Christmas so close enough, right? Also Jane Eyre turned out to be the only book I own beginning with J. I had to scavenge for it.

2. Count your age along your bookshelf. What book is it?

The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. I have books stacked everywhere so it could have been any book depending where I started.

Also I wrote a brief review for this book on Instagram a while back, let me know if you’d like to see an extended version on here!

3. A book that has your favourite colours on the front cover.

Heir of firesin eaters daughter

My favourite colour is Dark/Emerald green!

4. What book do you have the fondest memories of?

A series of unfotunate events 1.jpgharry potter philosophers stone.jpgThe Night Circus

So, besides the typical answer of The Harry Potter series, I remember collecting all thirteen of the A Series of Unfortunate Events series by Lemony Snicket. Also, a few years ago I received The Night Circus for Christmas, and I remember adoring it so much and the time of year helped it seem so magical…I love it!

5. Which book did you have difficulty reading?

tess of the durbervillesA dance with dragons part 2

Tess of the D’urbervilles – I had to read this for an English Literature class and I just didn’t like it.

A Dance With Dragons part 2 – OK so I loved this book, but it was the last in the series so far and it’s huge so I didn’t want to finish it.

6. What book on your TBR will give you the biggest sense of accomplishment when you complete it?

This book has nearly 900 pages. Need I say more?

So those are my answers!

I tag…

  1. I agree 100% about “Outlander” I’m pretty sure I picked that one on my own tag for that question. Also it took me a while to finish “A Dance with Dragons” as well for pretty much the same reasons, I didn’t want it to end because NOW all I can do is wait forever for “The Winds of Winter”, haha. Great post though I love your answers!

      1. I know right! And I have them all because my nana gave them to me after she read them so I feel like I should read them but they are ginormous, one of them is 1300+ pages!

    1. It’s definitely intimidating. All the books from that series are huge. I think the average size book I read is around 400 pages, but books seem to be getting bigger lately so maybe one day I’ll get round to it like the rest!

  2. This seems like a cool tag! The Night Circus is such a beautiful book, I really loved it after I passed a point from where I couldn’t stop reading it! Tess of the D’Urbervilles is my favorite classical book (maybe because I didn’t had to read it for school). It is good to find another ASoIaF geek here and let’s not talk about TOG! 😉
