Over the past few days I’ve been trying to revamp my blog design a little bit. I decided the old background looked too dark, so I’ve edited that. I’m aware that the new background is slightly blurry when viewed on a computer but people have assured me that isn’t too much of an issue, so I hope they’re right.
As well as the background, I’ve edited the sidebar slightly so that it now shows a brief summary to my star rating guide, my Instagram profile, and what I’m currently reading according to Goodreads.
I’m always wanting to improve my blog, so I hope you guys like the changes.

I struggled making up my mind about the lighter background but everyone I asked said it looked better than the original one.
I do struggle when it comes to blog design, since I’ve not even had it that long, so I hope this looks alright.
I’d love to know if you guys like it, or if there are any improvements that could be made!
A frolic through fiction 
It look great! It looked nice before but I guess it looks better now because the attention will more on the content rather than the background and also now, you can also see the widgets better! Yay for the change!

Thank you so much! It just got to a stage where the background was really dark and looked dreary compared to my photos so I tried the change. Also, all the widgets were at the bottom of the page and I just thought “no one scrolls down that far” so..yeah. Thank you (again)!

It’s pretty :)… I, too, have been looking for ways to give my blog a makeover for the new year. Alas, I’m not making much progress:(

Thank you! It’s quite difficult to redesign blogs I think. There’s so many different little things that you have to think about. I don’t blame you if it takes a while, I spent hours trying to sort mine haha!
