Cover Reveal: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas

So again this week there’s another spontaneous sort-of-late-night post!

Once again, I didn’t know until yesterday that a cover reveal for ONE OF MY MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF THE YEAR was being released today, so now that it has, I’m here to share the cover and hear your opinions!

So…drumrolls please….

I LOVE IT!

It matches the first book so well – and any bookworm can relate to the relief in knowing the covers of a series will match!

I love how there’s a new colour scheme but still manages to maintain the design. And I like how Feyre (I assume) is drawn on the cover. Normally I don’t like people on the cover, but somehow ALL of Sarah J Maas’ book covers manage to pull it off so well. Probably because they’re really stunning drawings. Plus I have a thing for small details. And if you look at the clothes on the cover, THAT is some intricate detail right there.

I do have to say that I’ve never understood the point in having different book covers though when the difference are as small as this. Sure, I like the USA one more because there’s more background to it, but I still love the UK one just as much (which is good, since I live in the UK). I just don’t think it really necessary to have varying covers.

I do appreciate how Bloomsbury released both cover designs at the same time though. There have been times where a publisher will show the US cover but then wait a while longer to show the UK version. So I’m glad I finally have this in my life!

I honestly cannot wait to dive back into this series. Sarah J Maas is one of my all time favourite authors, and I doubt that’s going to change any time soon ❤
