This post might seem like something I should have written at the beginning of January rather than the end, but it’s only recently that I’ve started really wanting to reread some of the books I own.
This is going to be split into two sections: The first being books I’ll definitely reread this year, the second being books that I might reread.
So let’s get to it!
Books I’ll definitely reread this year
A Darker Shade of Magic
by V.E Schwab
I read this book about a year ago I think, and now that the second book is out next month, I figured it was time to reread it. I’ll actually be rereading this one once I finished the book I’m currently reading!

Anna and the French Kiss
by Stephanie Perkins
I don’t read contemporaries often, but when I read this one a couple of years ago, it became one of my favourite books (to my surprise). I never got round to continuing the series though, and I finally feel like doing so. But I think it’s pretty clear that I’ll need to reread this one first, since I read it so long ago.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
by JK Rowling
When it comes to books, I really REALLY love knowing little details that make a story so much more complicated. And to me, Deathly Hallows is the perfect example of one of those books. I remember there being a huge backstory to Dumbledore’s life, problems with Rita Skeeter, and basically just so much more detail surrounding the characters that’s just missed in the films. Don’t get me wrong, I adore the films. But I really do miss all the small details that make the story as amazing as it is. I did consider rereading the entire series, but I feel like I attempt that every year and never actually get round to it since it would take so much time.

Books I might reread this year…possibly
Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince
by JK Rowling
I know I just said I’ll probably only read the last book, but I might change my mind and reread the last three. We’ll see how it goes. They’re all pretty big books. And yes, I know the covers don’t match. But this is actually what my Harry Potter collection looks like – non matching. The first 5 are the original covers like Order of the Phoenix, the last 2 are the white editions. But oh well.

The Book Thief
by Markus Zusak
Oh look, another one of my favourite books. Again, I read this about two years ago I think. But not long ago one of my friends was reading it, and I instantly wanted to revisit the story once again. So maybe this year I will.

Queen of Shadows
by Sarah J Maas
This is a very big maybe. Last year I reread Heir of Fire before this book came out, and I’m sort of considering rereading this one before the fifth book comes out. But it’s a pretty big book and I still remember most of what happens…plus I’ve already written a review for it, so if I spent time rereading this, I wouldn’t have a book review for that week. There’s a lot to think about with this one.

Hollow City
by Ransom Riggs
This one I might have to reread out of pure inconvenience. I only buy paperback books, so when the third book in this trilogy was released only in hardback, I was a bit downhearted because I knew I’d have to wait. But Hollow City came out in paperback in February last year, so I thought I wouldn’t have to wait long. WRONG. I looked it up a few weeks ago and the paperback isn’t released until SEPTEMBER (according to Amazon). UGH. So yes, anyway, I’ll end up having to reread Hollow City because I read it ages ago, and I still have months to go yet.

So there we have it!
Those are the books I plan on rereading this year, whether for definite or just a possibility.
Which of these books have you read from this list?
Are you planning on rereading any books this year?
Are you rereading any of the same books as me?
Let me know in the comments!

As I said on Instagram, I’m planning to reread Harry Pottter and Carry On and Six of Crows. I think it will be a while before I reread The Book Thief again, only because it was that heartbreaking. I’m planning on reading Anna and the French Kiss for the first time this year, hopefully it’s good because I’ve been hearing mixed things. Same goes with Hollow City.

I really REALLY want to re-read the harry potter series, but maybe not this year since I still have to buy the English book set ( I have them translated to french) so maybe next year, or I’ll marathon it at the end of the year.

It seems like everyone wants to reread the Harry Potter books every year haha! And that’d be interesting, to read them in another language 🙂

Great post! As I read this I realized there are a lot of books I want to reread as well. Including Miss Peregrines….. series. I also want to reread Allegiant in preparation for the movie in March. I might just end up writing my own post about this since my list is getting long. Good luck on rereading!

I don’t re-read a lot, and I also never got around to read Lola and the Boy Next Door. But since it’s a completely different story from Anna, I might not need to re-read Anna before reading it!
