Today is one of those days where I’m feeling very lazy, and all I want to do is sit and read. It took a long while for me to motivate myself to write this post. So I decided to do a book tag – or THE book tag – since I have loads of them waiting in my drafts.
Hopefully after writing this up, I can motivate myself to take a review photo and write up tomorrow’s review. Hopefully.
Anyway, I was tagged by Naomi @ Escpae From Realities quite a while ago, so here are my answers…finally!
Let’s do this!
1. Do I have a certain place to read? Where is it?
I always read in my bed. As I’ve said before, I’m one of those people that is always cold, so I just want my duvet all the time.
~~~
2. Do you eat or drink while reading?
Sometimes I do. I’m more likely to eat than drink. And if I do eat, it’s usually chocolate.
~~~
3. Do you read one book or several books at a time?
Just the one book at a time. This only changes if I’m reading a huge book Like Outlander, because one evening I’ll read a graphic novel to make up for lost time and give myself a tiny break. But even then, there will only be two books on my “currently reading” shelf for about an hour or so, since it doesn’t take long to read a graphic novel.
~~~
4. Do you write in books?
Nope. The only time I have ever done so was when I was taking an English Literature course last year, and I ran out of post-it notes. I just have these two books on my shelf covered in writing. But now, I use little post-it tabs if I want to remember a quote, but that’s about it.
~~~
5. What was the worst movie adaptation of a book?
I don’t really have an answer for this. I’ll go with Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief, because when you compare the book to the movie…it’s just terrible. BUT I do actually like that film so…maybe that’s just because I like the cast though.
~~~
6. What is the book you’re the most embarrassed to have never read?
None really. I don’t get embarrassed about not reading certain books. Although at the moment I really feel like I NEED to read Red Queen, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and Me Before You.
~~~
7. Your ‘what the heck’ moment from a book.
The entire last chapter and epilogue in The Sleeping Prince. Oh lord almighty I was so shocked. My thoughts weren’t functioning, there was just “OH MY GOD WHAT ON EARTH HOW DARE-WAIT WHAT? OH MY DAYS!” on loop.
~~~
8. What is the one book you regret you read?
None. I never regret reading a book, even if I hated it. I mean, if you didn’t read bad books, you’d have no idea just how good they can be in comparison, right?
~~~
9. Best strong female leader?
AELIN GALATHYNIUS. From the Throne of Glass series. More in Queen of Shadows, specifically.
~~~
10. Book that changed your life?
The Harry Potter series, for sure. It has influenced my life so much. I feel like there’s other books that have really stuck with me too, such as The Book Thief, Pride and Prejudice, and the Throne of Glass series. To be fair though, I think every book changes some part of me in a small way 🙂
So there we have it!
Hope you guys enjoyed reading through this! Now you know a couple more things about me when it comes to how I read.
Let me know in the comments if you agree with any of my answers! I’d love to find out 😀
If you haven’t already, check out yesterday’s blog post – my Review for A Darker Shade of Magic. I spent quite a lot of time on it so it’d be very much appreciated!
Also, stay tuned for tomorrow – I have another review on the way!
I keep meaning to read Red Queen, but it somehow always gets pushed back on my TBR pile. And yes, Aelin is epic 😀
I eat while I’m reading as well (normally chocolate too) but I am never careful enough and I end up smudging my book with chocolate 😦
