I know that literally everyone and their mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, grandmother, nephew and goldfish will be writing posts like this (Ok, BIT of an exaggeration), but I JUST HAD TO JOIN IN.

BECAUSE THE COVER REVEAL FOR EMPIRE OF STORMS HAPPENED TODAY!!!

Empire of Storms is the 5th book in the Throne of Glass series, and probably my most anticipated book of the year. So of course I’m majorly fangirling. Because now we finally have an image to go with the epic book we have coming our way this September.

You’ve probably all seen this by now, but I want to discuss my own thoughts and hear your opinions too!

LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE!

Honestly, I hope Sarah J Maas’ cover designers earn a hell of a lot of money because they give me and thousands of other people great joy with these covers every year.

The amount of details from the books!

Aelin finally being able to use her fire powers. Officially becoming “fireheart”. The sword – Goldryn. The mark on her forehead. The Eye of Elena. The shorter hair. The wind that appears to be supporting her in the background (and we all know who that could mean).

There’s literally SO much going on in this one cover, I don’t know how to handle it.

In fact, I can’t handle it at all.

And the colours! ❤ That bright silvery blue against the vivid orange of the fire is incredibly striking. I don’t think anyone will be able to resist picking this book up and having a nosy in the bookshops.

I’ll be buying the UK cover myself, since I live in England, and I’m honestly so so so so so so glad that they’re keeping up the theme. With every cover reveal I get so scared that they’ll change the design. But thank god it hasn’t happened!

I couldn’t be happier about this cover. It’s stunning. I can’t wait to see how the back cover looks!
