Oh yes, it’s that new feature I brought in months ago…and then completely forgot about. How did that even happen? Either way, I’ve brought it back now. Let it rise from the ashes like a phoenix and heal you with it’s medicinal bird tears.

Since the first (and only) one of these features happened a long time ago, here’s a quick summary of what a Sunday Status post is. Basically, it’s just a post where I update you on anything reading related – what I’m currently reading, future plans for my blog and booktube, anything remotely interesting I might have to mention.
So…what’s my Sunday Status?
December is a month for ambitious TBRs. At least it is for me.
If you’ve seen my Wrap Up & TBR video, you’ll know that I usually read around 4-5 books a month…and yet for some reason I’ve set myself a goal of 7. Why? I’ve no idea. There’s just too many books I want to read as soon as physically possible.
But luckily for me, I’m now on Christmas break. So hopefully I can dedicate more time than usual to reading, and whizz right through my TBR. That’s the theory, at least. I do have quite a lot of plans for my blog & booktube, along with plans with family and friends over Christmas, so we’ll see how well it works out.
As I’m writing this, I’m reading the Illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I got it back in October and have been saving is specifically for the run up to Christmas, just because Harry Potter gives me that nostalgic feeling I need every December. But I’m going to try and finish that today. So the plan for my next reads?
Well, at some point this week I need to start Mansfield Park by Jane Austen, which is the Austentatious book club book of the month. I’m planning on reading this via audiobook, because it really helps when I get home tired from college and don’t quite have enough energy in my eyes to read for myself.
I’ll also be starting my reread of Hollow City by Ransom Riggs. I’m hoping to finish this series at long last, but to do so I needed to reread the first two books. When rereading the first, I didn’t like it as much as I did originally, though I did still really enjoy it. I remember liking this one more than the first, so hopefully that still applies!
Let me put it this way – you’re going to be seeing a lot of me around this month. You probably already have.
Not only does December bring the festive posts, and the usual end of the month posts (wrap ups/hauls), but there’s also the end of year posts. And let me tell you, I am SO excited for them all. There’s so many blog posts coming your way this month, you might just actually get sick of seeing me around.
Though hopefully not. I like you guys.
December does mean a brief break from my weekly discussion posts. As mentioned in Wednesday’s post, after posting every week for a year, I’m running low on ideas. And considering I have loads more ideas for end of year posts, the discussions will be taking a break until the new year. Don’t you worry though, they’ll be back soon enough.
I also have a fair few booktube videos planned – one being my first haul! my favourite videos – which I’m SO excited about. In fact, today a new video should have been published discussing my 2017 bookish resolutions, so go over to my channel and check it out!

So my Sunday Status is feeling a little better than the last few days. It sucks having the flu for a few days and repeat it every week for at least the last four weeks =/
My reading experience has been good. Have been reading quite a lot lately. I do hope I can get a review out again before 2017. Been in a reviewing slump for quite a while now. I don’t like it =[
I’m currently reading Forgotten by Samie Sands, I like it!! Halway Bitten by Terry Maggert I still have to start, probably in the bath tub tonight haha… And The Harry Potter series. I’m currently over a hundred pages into The Goblet of Fire.
The Harry Potter Series are my Christmas reads like most years!! I do have a huge TBR this month [21] and I already have read ten books towards my TBR. I’m hoping I can finish all of them, but it will be a challenge to finish this humongous TBR haha.. And yep, that sure does sound like a pretty big TBR :O Harry Potter is so many people’s Christmas reads (including mine) – it’s actually quite surprising considering how big each book is after the first three! I definitely wouldn’t get through them all in a month. Good luck with your reading! 😀

Ah, I really like this feature, and I’m really looking forward to your end of year posts!
I normally don’t set myself a TBR, but I’m participating in #DiversityDecBingo this month so I kind of had to, haha. I had 5 books on my TBR for this, and I’m currently on the last one which is Iron Cast! I also want to start reading How To Make a Wish today, but I’m not sure if that’s possible.

I wish I could be more like you and read classics. I’m always envious. I just never get into them? Maybe someday. OR do you have any recs for a classics newbie? 😉

Oooh that’s a hard one. I’m a bit hit or miss with classics, so recommending them might be hard. I’d say to use audiobooks – I’ve started doing that (there’s free one on YouTube) and it’s helping me get through them quicker. Books themselves, I really liked Northanger Abbey, it’s easy to get through and quite short compared to most. Or you could try some of the modern classics, like The Handmaid’s Tale? I’ve not read that one myself but I’ll be getting it soon 🙂

I always think it’s funny how the bookish community kicks into high gear in December and January. I love seeing everyone’s wrap ups, TBRs, and New Year’s resolutions!! It’s so fun 🙂

Good luck with having an ambitious TBR this month!! *flings confetti* I’ve actually been slacking off on reading so bad lately. ;D I just have been busy working and … omg I don’t even know what I’ve been doing??? But somehow my day escapes and I’ve got no reading done.😂 But I can’t wait to start doing end-of-year posts too! SO MANY GOOD BOOKS TO TALK ABOUT.

It always feels a bit awful when the days just rush by and you’re sat thinking “WAIT NO I’M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET I NEED TO READ GET BACK HERE” but alas, we all need timeturners. Hopefully you manage to fit some more reading in!
And yaaaas I can’t wait for an entire YEAR’S worth of fangirling to be justifiable. I am ready.
