February. The shortest month of the year. And the month filled with love? While Valentine’s day might not be a hit for everyone, it’s not just all about romance. There’s an overall sense of gratefulness come the occasion, an appreciation for friends and family too.
Though the month is only missing two or three days, those missing days can feel like they make all the difference. We don’t quite make it to day 30 before starting again. But still, the months roll on.

Let’s see what February brought…
So I’ve decided to change up how I do my wrap ups. I’ve changed my video upload day on my booktube channel to fridays (or at least, I will after this week), so I didn’t want my blog wrap ups to be repeated 2 days after on Sundays. Instead, I’ll be leaving the video wrap up & TBR at the end of the post, and have monthly favourites too! That way you get something new to read, as well as the option to see my wrap up and TBR too π I hope that works for you guys!
February was an incredible month of reading for me. There was only one book below 4 stars, can you believe it?!
But one…there was only one rated 5 stars. Which I actually don’t mind, because I’m quite stingy with my 5 stars. But February brought a new favourite to me, so of course this section will be full of fangirling.
Rated 5/5 stars! – [Full Review]
This is definitely one of those cases where I can’t even explain why I love it so damn much. I just flail my arms while talking like this attopspeedwithoutpausingforbreathandWITHMORESCREAMING
It’s just one of those books, alright? Plus, there’s an August Flynn. I want an August Flynn.
I mean, my face while I talk about it in my wrap up says it all really…
So I’ve decided to make this a thing so I can show some love to all you online folks I kind of admire and wish I was pals with from afar π Plus, spreading that positivity around. You’re all amazing, so this part will be dedicated to some of you guys every month.
So first up, I have to mention my friend Karina @Karinareads98. I’ve mentioned her a couple of times in my videos now, so I’m probably starting to sound like a fangirl of her now. But hey, if you can’t fangirl over your friends, what’s the point? π
I only started talking to Karina at the start of the year (I think?), but looooong before that I wanted to talk to her. But y’know, I get shy about messaging people. Anyway. I plucked up enough courage to actually keep a conversation going for once (after asking her a million times if I was being awkward/annoying/too personal/any insecurity ever), and somehow she actually seemed to like me, and so I can now class her as a friend.
Though it kind of sucks because she lives in Scotland. And I live in England. Which I know isn’t halfway across the world, but I can barely get on a train without panicking big time. So while I’ve yet to meet her, all I keep thinking is “ONE DAY”.
*cough* Plus I love Scotland so it gives me a massive reason to go back *cough*
But yeah. Karina is just one of those people I’ve always found interesting. She could tweet about a cup of tea and I’d be there favouriting (is that a word?) it. She’s so caring too, always letting me rant if I need to, or just having general chit chat because why the hell not? And for the past few weeks she’s been off gallivanting around Rome, living with a host family. Where on earth the courage comes from to go an live in another country with strangers for a while, I don’t know, but I want some of that π Her ongoing commentary tweets about the whole experience have been entertaining to say the least, and somehow relatable despite me never going to Rome or speaking Italian…or being in any situation similar to that. Yay for awkward people, we rock the world (while accidentally hitting people with our belongings while flailing around in public, of course.)
COFFEEEEEEE! Specifically, the Maxwell House Lattes. This is my all time favourite coffee, which actually surprised me because you can buy it from Poundland, of all places. And you get a whole box of them. No need for Starbucks anymore, I can get my favourites for Β£1 π I also started using honey as a replacement to the sugar I add, which was probably one of the best ideas to enter this household in a while.
HAMILTON – Yes I’m late to the game, but I’m in the game now and here to stay. It took a while for me to get into it, with there being so many songs, but oh how I love them all now. Also, I have a weird love for Lafayette. I’ve no idea where it came from, it just happened.
VANILLA SPRAYS – I’ve always loved Vanilla scents, it’s always been a favourite. But I recently got two different vanilla sprays – one from Victoria’s Secrets, the other from The Body Shop – and they’ve been my everyday go to. I don’t use proper perfume often, because they can trigger my migraines, so these body sprays are great for me because you can smell them all day but they’re not too strong. And you know how in books, characters always seem to have a very specific scent to them (somehow)? I want mine to be vanilla. I’m determined π
So thereβs my February, all wrapped up!
Have you read any of the books I read in February? What did you think?
How many books did you read this month? Which was your favourite of the month?
Did you buy any new books? How many and which ones? (feel free to link your haul!)
Did any interesting events happen this month for you?Β Visit anywhere nice?Β
What are you currently reading, going into the month of March?
Let me know in the comments!
Until next timeβ¦
Come and visit me!
Great wrap up, glad you enjoyed this savage song! I actually haven’t read anything by VE Schwab so I’ve got a lot of great books to catch up on! I hear you about panicking about trains, I only have to get one to Manchester and I get so anxious about it!

Thank you!! Oh you’re in for a treat if you start reading V.E. Schwab books – though I’m biased by now ahaha!
As for trains, they’re just so daunting! If you miss your stop you end up in a different city altogether. It doesn’t help that the only ones I’ve gotten on in the past couple of years, if I missed my stop I’d have ended up in SCOTLAND. A different country entirely. God π

Ahaha thank you!! β€ I don't usually look forward to them that much because I don't do much to celebrate them, but they're the perfect excuse to get new books π
And thank you (again)! I love the purple docs too, though they ripped my feet apart when I wore them so I definitely need to wear them in a lot more before they become my everyday footwear (which I fully intend) π

Yes! Docs have NO SUPPORT! I used to have the ones that went up to my knees when I was younger, and I had to put inserts in! π
Yes, bdays are only good for book presents! π π!!! ππ

So glad to see how much you loved This Savage Song! I’ve had it since it came out, but have been a complete slacker and still haven’t read it, haha. I really need to get around to it!

I did mean to read it when it came out but circumstances (and plenty of excuses) meant I’ve only just gotten to it π Worth the wait though! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when you get to it! π

I love this new style, Ashleigh π
Also I’ve been wanting to read This Savage Song forever and your face just makes me want to pick it up like right now! I love vanilla, it somehow always reminds me of baking and I have a lovely vanilla candle that I don’t burn nearly enough.
I hope you have a lovely March πΈ

This may sound weird, but oh well! I love your voice, it sounds so cool. I don’t know, call me crazy, but I love your accent. π
I’ll definitely be checking some of the books you mentioned, some interested me, and I’ll be very happy to be able to pick up some fresh new books from my local library.
I hope your March goes well, and not to quickly! Have a nice day.
