Thank you!!

I…can’t quite believe I’m writing this. But a few days ago, I discovered that’d I’ve been shortlisted for the UKYABA’s – the UK Young Adult Blog Awards – under the category of “Most Inspirational”. WHAT?!?

I just wanted to make this post to acknowledge that you guys got me here, and I appreciate it with all my heart.

I made an entire video about this so I won’t babble on too long (I’ll leave the video below so you can watch me make a fool of myself). But it really does baffle me that I’m in this situation – I mean, who would see me as inspirational? Apparently, enough of you to get me here. And even from those who didn’t nominate me, the support you’ve given me by following this blog of mine, subscribing to my booktube channel, interacting with me online at all…it’s that what allows my content to be seen. And with books taking hold of my entire personality and influencing everything I do, I can’t even begin to explain how much this means to me. I tried in the video and trust me, it didn’t go well.

I just wanted to share this on here too because while my booktube channel is my “main” platform, this l’il blog of mine is still kicking and means the world to me. I have so many ideas for upcoming posts, and the motivation to create content on both platforms is very much here. I know booktube isn’t for everyone, so I just wanted to acknowledge the people supporting my blog because it’s YOU too – you’ve gotten me here! This blog was the beginning of everything, and will continue to be a huge part of my life for years to come.

Anyway, I’ll leave the rest of the cringy speech to the video. But if you enjoy any of my content online, you can actually vote for me to WIN the “Most Inspirational” award by heading to the UKYABA website and filling out the (very short) form. All you have to do is enter your name, a link to your blog/booktube channel, and then there will be a drop down box under “Most Inspirational” – I’m one of the options! You have to be a UK blogger, booktuber, or have an active Goodreads page/Amazon review account to vote, so unfortunately not all of you will be able to do this if you wanted to. But any votes in my direction are really, really appreciated (and still completely baffles me). Even being on the shortlist is a huuuuge deal, and I can’t even argue if the other bloggers I’m “up against” win because I love all their blogs! I’m shocked this is even a thing I’m talking about…and yet here we are.
