Well we’ve not seen a book tag around these parts for awhile have we? But I’m going to be honest with you, I wanted some more festivity on this lil blog of mine and so it was perfect timing for Richard to tag me in his Jingle Bell Book Tag! This is a tag he made a couple of years ago using a combination of christmas songs and movies, so y’know, we’ve got music, we’ve got films, and we’ve got books. We’re in for a good time amiright?Continue reading The Jingle Bell Book Tag
I can’t believe I’m writing this post!
A FROLIC THROUGH FICTION REACHED 400 FOLLOWERS!
Thank you all so so much for supporting my blog! It means so much to me!
I know I know I know that numbers aren’t the important thing, and that’s so true to me. But knowing there’s so many of you guys out there enjoying my blog is so encouraging for me 😀
Especially the people who comment on here, or talk to me on Twitter, or even go as far as sharing my posts on twitter! I can’t believe some of you actually take time out of your day to talk to little ol’ me 😆 It honestly blows my mind, and I couldn’t appreciate it more ❤
At the beginning of the year I set a “goal” to reach 500 by the end of the year, just as something fun to hope for. I didn’t really think that was possible…but now it sort of does. Let’s see where this little blog of mine will be in another 6 months! Also, if I can find a good video editor app for my phone or laptop, I’ve *hopefully* got something exciting planned for when I reach another milestone! *fingers crossed*
Thank you all so much. SO MUCH. I can’t thank you enough!
And since so many of you are new here, I’ve done the Get To Know Me Tag below, just in case you want to find out a little bit more about me (though most of you know a lot about me already 😀 ) Even if you DO know me, this looked like a fun tag anyway and it’s quick to read through, so enjoy!
I’ve not done any tags or blog awards for a very, very long time. We’re talking months. So you can imagine how much they’ve all built up.
As much as I like reading these sorts of posts (because I’m nosy and like reading the answers to their questions), I used to do so many tags and awards that I got bored, and pretty much just stopped writing them.
BUT…I’ve noticed the same few awards cropping up over the past few months, so I reckon it’s about time I actually acknowledged my appreciation of them. And really, this has turned into a Q&A, there’s that many questions!
This will be a long post, so get comfy and enjoy!
First of all, sorry there wasn’t a new post yesterday! I’ve spent this weekend completely repainting my bedroom, along with most of the furniture inside it, so I had to skip a day of blogging. I mean, even after I write this, I’m going back to paint the final wall. I haven’t even done that much reading this weekend either, but I’ll class this as a weekend off (though it feels like I’ve done more work than ever).
Anyway, thanks to absolutely everything in my room being cleared out and scattered around the rest of the house, I’ve no idea where my notebook for post ideas has gone, so today I’m doing a tag!
And a very exciting tag, indeed.
BECAUSE HARRY POTTER.
I’ve been in SUCH a Harry Potter mood lately. I’m in the process of rereading the series (one book each month) and I preordered Cursed Child on Thursday. So this tag fits perfectly with my mood.
I was tagged by Quirky book nerd and A Stranger’s Guide To Novels (thank you!!) to do this wonderful tag created by Trang and Lashaan @ Bookidote. The one rule: You can’t use any of the Harry Potter books for an answer.
So instead of rambling even more, let’s begin!
Today is one of those days where I’m feeling very lazy, and all I want to do is sit and read. It took a long while for me to motivate myself to write this post. So I decided to do a book tag – or THE book tag – since I have loads of them waiting in my drafts.
Hopefully after writing this up, I can motivate myself to take a review photo and write up tomorrow’s review. Hopefully.
Anyway, I was tagged by Naomi @ Escpae From Realities quite a while ago, so here are my answers…finally!
Let’s do this!
I’ve set myself a little challenge today. I started reading Siege and Storm yesterday, and got just under halfway through…so now today, I’m going to attempt to finish reading it, so I can upload a review tomorrow and start reading Ruin and Rising immediately after. We’ll see how that goes.
Anyway, that’s not what we’re here for.
Now, I’ve seen a lot of these tags floating around, and I love reading them, so when I saw this book tag on Olivia @ Heir of Glitter’s blog, and decided I would give it a go myself!
So let’s do the unpopular opinions tag!
It’s a tradition to think up some resolutions for every new year. Well, I changed mine up a bit. I have thought of 10 New Year’s resolutions related to books. I’ve seen that this is quite a popular thing for readers to think up some challenges like this, so I figured I’d give it a go too!
Here are my 10 bookish resolutions for 2016!
More blog awards! I realized yesterday that I was nominated for quite a few, and since The Name of the Wind is taking me a while to read, I don’t yet have a review to write for it. I’m hoping I can finish it this weekend to get the review up soon! Anyway, I have been nominated for The Versatile Blogger award, as well as receiving MORE nominations for the Real Neat Blog Award (4th), The Liebster Award (2nd) and The Infinity Dreams Award (3rd). Because I’ve already received the last three but still really appreciate being nominated, I’ll answer the new questions provided and link to the original posts.
