June Wrap Up

June wrap up

Did June even happen?

Apparently so.

It still hasn’t sunk in that here in England, it’s actually Summer now – not that the weather has done anything to help remind me. So all those books I’ve held off “until Summer when I have more time”…well, now’s the time.

Anyway, it’s the start of July, meaning a June Wrap-Up is needed. So here we are!

As always, this will be a long post so get comfy and enjoy!

I call this photo “The one in which I nearly give myself concussion trying to balance 9 books on my head”. Bit of a mouthful, but true.

The creeper man

*All reviews I write are spoiler free*

How happy I am to finally be writing this review!

Ever since reading The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich, I’ve been obsessed. I talk about it all the time. If you have me on Twitter, you’ve probably seen.

Seriously, I ran downstairs and started jumping up and down practically screaming at my dad in incoherent nonsense.

So let’s talk about The Creeper Man!

Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde (& other short stories) by Robert Louis Stevenson

jekyll and hudge review title

This review is going to be written a bit differently from previous reviews. Since this book is a collection of eight short stories, instead of trying to type out eight different in depth reviews for each one, I’ll do small reviews for each, give a separate rating for each, and a rating for the book as a whole. If that makes sense. If not, you’ll see what I mean as you read on.

So let’s talk about these Gothic horror stories then!

Jekyll & Hyde
