Journeying through endless dangers but somehow remaining lighthearted…Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs

Another series I managed to finish in 2016! I absolutely nailed my “finish some series” resolution from last year *high fives self*

It’s a good job I pushed myself to read this final book in the trilogy in December. I can tell I was going off the series. But more about that in a moment…

December Wrap Up – The one where I fly through books quicker than usual

december-wrap-up

December. The month of festivities. Christmas creeping closer, the streets bustling more as people hurriedly buy gifts for others. Everything is suddenly strung with lights and tinsel, lighting the world up for the final month of the year. There’s a happy atmosphere surrounding the air, gently concealing the stress levels Christmas can bring.

December brings along the Christmas break. A break from work, a break from college, a break to recover from the year. A break…to READ.

Okayy, that’s obviously not the universal reason for the Christmas/End of Year break but it sure as hell is MINE.

So let’s see what December brought!

There’s also a video version of this post if you’d like the see, combined with my January TBR! Click here to see! (though I forgot to mention one of the books – doh!)

Hollow City by Ransom Riggs | A lot of mighty handy conveniences, but fun to journey through anyway

hollow-city

Another reread for this year, to finally finish the series.

I was actually surprised by how much I forgot in this book. Because I basically forgot everything. Like, even the main, huge plot twist. Somehow they all vanished from my mind, dropping through the nooks and crannies without me even realising. So it was probably a good job I actually reread this book before going on to finish the final one. Lord knows it wouldn’t have made sense without doing so.

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs | A REREAD that I loved, though I’m revoking the “favourite” status

miss-peregrines

Alright you have no idea how much this header image is bothering me, with the title not fitting in the coloured stripe properly (it’s usually only one line rather than two but the title is way too long). But we’re just going to ignore that and get on with it, because that’s not what we’re here for.

I’d decided a while ago to reread this book. I’d finally gotten the last book in the trilogy a few months ago, but it had been that long since reading the first two I couldn’t actually remembered what happened. And with the movie of Miss Peregrine’s being released, it was about time for me to put those plans into action.

September Wrap Up – The one where college starts again and my schedule is suddenly a lot more full

september-wrap-up

Taking a little break from the blogger tips mini-series, here’s my wrap up of the month!

Don’t worry though, the blogger tips will be back next Sunday. Shh, don’t tell anyone.

For some strange reason, this entire month I kept thinking we were halfway through October. It’s almost a relief we’ve reached October, just so that I’ll finally be right 😆

Plus, IT’S AUTUMN! *throws orange leaves in the air* Sure, it means from now until June next year I’ll be permanently cold, but oh well. Everything is cosy and pretty.

As always, this is going to be a long post, so get cosy and enjoy!

My Favourite Book Quotes

quotes

I don’t like just writing up blog award posts and having that as the only post of the day, in case people don’t like reading them, so I decided to add this post today too: My Favourite Book Quotes!

The idea is basically for me to write down some of my favourite book quotes for you guys to see. People’s favourite quotes do tend to show more about their personality, so maybe that will show through this post 🙂

Hopefully this post is interesting to read!

So in no particular order…

So let’s get to it!

Top 10 books of 2015

So now that it’s the end of the year, I figured I’d show you what my Top 10 books of 2015 were. I think it’s going to be difficult to choose just 10!

I’ve written a guest post very similar to this over on Books With Em’s, so you guys should go and check that out!

Top 5 books of 2015

Anyway, I’ll mix this one up a bit so that it’s not exactly the same post. I suppose the guest post can be a sort of…Top 5 favourites from my Top 10 – if that makes any sense.

Now instead of rambling on, time for me to show you my top 10 favourite books of 2015!

Series I have yet to finish

Series I have yet to finish

I have this habit of buying books that are completely unrelated to each other, instead of buying the next book in a series I’ve started to continue on. So I have A LOT of series I haven’t yet finished.

This will be split into two different section: Series where the books have all been released and I’ve just not gotten round to continuing yet, and Series that I am up to date with, but need to wait for the next books to be released to finish.

There will be Goodreads links for the 1st books in the series, if you want to check them out.

So…let’s do this!
