The TBR book tag!

I was tagged by Marian – bookception21 – to do this tag, so thank you very much!

I’ve been trying to avoid writing up my next review and uploading it tonight, because I want to save it for tomorrow, so it was the perfect time for this to come along!

[Also – that’s a heads up. My review for Illuminae will be up tomorrow!]

TBR book tag

1. How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

Well…I’m always on Goodreads so there’s a list on there, but I don’t look through it that often. I tend to just remember. I’m like a walking library with the amount of book titles and authors stashed in this head of mine. I do also have a notebook with a 6 paged list of “books I’m going to buy one day” – so there’s that I’m slowly making my way through too.

2. Is your TBR mostly print or E-book?

I never read E-books so that question has an easy answer. Print 😀

3. How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

By my mood. I switch between which genres I want to read {although it’s fantasy most of the time} so i just pick up whichever book I want to read most at that moment in time. At the moment that mood is SciFi – I’ve just sped through Illuminae and I think I’ll be starting Cress tomorrow. Also if there’s a new book released that I’ve actually managed to get hold of not long after the release date, this will usually be read sooner so that I can write a review for it near to the release date.

4. A book that has been on your TBR the longest?

Cruel beautyShadow and BoneThe Raven Boys

These 3 books have been on my TBR for over a year. I Finally own Shadow and Bone and plan on reading it this month though so progress has been made…right?

5. A book you recently added to your TBR?

There’s SO MANY. But for the sake of this post I’ll just show you three.

A thousand nightspassengerSix of Crows

6. A book strictly on your TBR strictly for it’s cover?

I’d never heard of Revenge of the Wild before but the cover caught my eye so I added it to my TBR (after reading the synopsis, of course). Totally a cover add though.

Revenge of the wild

7. A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading?

This question doesn’t make sense to me..? A book wouldn’t be on my TBR if I didn’t plan on reading it…You know, with it being a “to be read” list…

8. An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for?

I was originally going to choose The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon, the 3rd book in The Bone Season series, because I recently read The Mime Order and adored it. Unfortunately, there’s no book cover yet. So instead I’m showing A Gathering of Shadows by VE Schwab!

A Gathering of Shadows Final

9. A book on your TBR that everyone has read but you?

As well as most of the book listed above, here are some more:

An ember in the ashesOutlanderMagnus chase

(Those books really don’t look good next to each other)

10. A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you?

I bought this book recently so again, progress has been made…

shatter me

11. How many books are currently on your Goodreads TBR list?

151. But I’m currently in the middle of massively updating it, so I’ve removed quite a few that I have no interest in reading anymore, and I’m also adding new ones pretty much everyday, so this number will likely change. Also, there are quite a few books that I’m waiting to add, but I don’t add them until the cover had been revealed.

So this was quite a spontaneous tag for me to do! The amount of times I had to check my Goodreads account was a little bit ridiculous 😀

Also is it just me, or is that a really random amount of questions? I thought it was going to top at 10, but nope – pop in another bonus question!

Anyway, I tag:

MalloryThe Leaning Tower of Tomes

BeccaShih Tzu Book Reviews

WindieGeek Apprentice

So if you guys would like to do this tag (or anyone for that matter) feel free to do so! 😀
